    Terms of Service

    Last updated: 12 October 2026

    1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the Achieve Academy website ("the Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. The Site is operated by Achieve Academy London Limited (trading as Achieve Academy), a private limited company registered in England and Wales (company registration number 17467724), with registered office at 124 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom, contactable at info@achieve-academy.co.uk. Achieve Academy London Limited provides the Site and its services. Premium subscriptions are sold by our reseller Paddle.com, which acts as Merchant of Record for those purchases (see Section 8); Achieve Academy London Limited remains responsible for providing the Premium service itself.

    2. Description of Service

Achieve Academy provides free online GCSE revision resources including revision notes, past papers, Maths booklets and formula sheets. Visitors without an account can try a small daily allowance of practice questions. Free account holders receive 5 free practice questions at every grade in every topic, plus a daily allowance of Quiz Mode and Smart Flashcards. Each new account receives a one-off 7-day Premium trial at no cost and with no payment details required; when it ends the account moves to the free tier automatically, nothing is charged, and progress is kept. A paid Premium subscription unlocks every practice question at every grade, removes the Quiz Mode and Smart Flashcards limits, saves quiz and flashcard history, and provides progress analytics.

    3. Educational Disclaimer

Our revision materials are created to support GCSE study and are aligned with UK exam board specifications (AQA, Edexcel, OCR) to the best of our ability. However:

    • Achieve Academy is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to any exam board including AQA, Edexcel, OCR, or any other awarding body.
    • Our content is provided for supplementary revision purposes only and should not be used as a sole source of study material.
    • We do not guarantee that our content covers every topic that may appear in examinations.
    • Past papers and mark schemes are linked to for free educational use: we link to the official exam-board pages and, for older series, to PhysicsAndMathsTutor's past-paper pages. We don't host or re-serve any paper or mark scheme. All copyright in past papers and mark schemes remains with the respective awarding body (AQA, Pearson Edexcel, OCR, or other). Achieve Academy claims no ownership of these materials.
    • If you are a rights holder and would like us to remove a link, email info@achieve-academy.co.uk and we will remove it within 7 days.
    • Always refer to your school, teacher, and the official exam board specification for definitive guidance.

    4. Eligibility & Minimum Age

The Site is intended for users aged 13 and over. By creating an account or using account-based features, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian is aware of your use of the Site and agrees to these Terms on your behalf. We do not knowingly create accounts for, or collect personal data from, children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has registered, please contact info@achieve-academy.co.uk and we will delete the account.

A Premium subscription may only be purchased by someone aged 18 or over. By paying for Premium you confirm that you are 18 or over, that you are the parent, guardian or bill payer responsible for the account, and that you are authorised to use the payment method presented at checkout.

    5. User Accounts

You may create an account to save your revision progress. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it updated.

    6. Acceptable Use

What you may do. You may use our revision notes, practice questions, past paper library, formula sheets, quizzes and flashcards for your own GCSE revision, or to support a child you are responsible for. You may print or save reasonable amounts of material for personal, non-commercial revision. Teachers and tutors may point students to the Site and use free material in their own lessons, with credit to Achieve Academy.

What you may not do. You agree not to:

    • Use the Site for any unlawful purpose, including fraud or spam.
    • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Site or its systems, or interfere with its security (including introducing malware, probing, or bypassing access controls or payment).
    • Copy, redistribute, publish, upload or commercially exploit our original content — including Premium content — without written permission, or infringe the intellectual property rights of others.
    • Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, bulk-download or harvest content from the Site, or attempt to copy the resource library as a dataset.
    • Share Premium sign-in details with anyone outside your household, or sell, sublicense or resell access to Premium features.
    • Use contact or suggestion forms for spam, abuse, harassment, or unlawful or offensive content.
    • Create an account using someone else's identity or payment details.
    • Republish past papers or mark schemes elsewhere — they remain the copyright of the relevant exam board (AQA, Pearson Edexcel, OCR).

Enforcement. If we believe these rules have been breached, we may issue a warning, restrict features, or suspend or close your account. Where an account is closed for a serious breach, refunds are handled in line with our Refund Policy and your statutory rights.

Our Acceptable Use Policy sets out these rules in full and forms part of these Terms.

    7. Intellectual Property

All original content on the Site — including revision notes, practice questions, diagrams, and design — is the property of Achieve Academy and is protected by copyright. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for your personal revision within your selected plan. You may not reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute our content, or circumvent any technical limits. Past papers and mark schemes remain the intellectual property of their respective exam boards; see Section 3 for our takedown contact.

    8. Subscriptions & Payments

Achieve Academy offers a Premium subscription with monthly and annual plans. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

For the mechanics of payment, billing, taxes, cancellations, and refunds, please refer to Paddle's Buyer Terms at paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms. You can manage your subscription, including cancellation, at any time through the Paddle customer portal linked from your account page.

Automatic renewal. Premium is a recurring subscription. The monthly plan renews automatically at £6.99 every month, and the annual plan renews automatically at £49.99 every year, using the payment method you gave at checkout, until you cancel. All prices include VAT where it applies. Annual members are emailed a reminder before each renewal. You can cancel at any time from your account page, and cancelling before the renewal date prevents the next charge.

Price changes. If we change the price of a Premium plan, we will email you at least 30 days before the change takes effect on your subscription. You are free to cancel before then, and your existing price applies until the end of the period you have already paid for.

Premium subscriptions are for one student account; a parent or guardian may pay for and help manage it. We may add to or improve Premium features at any time. If we make a change that materially reduces the Premium features you pay for, we will email you at least 30 days in advance and you may cancel and receive a pro-rata refund for any unused period you have paid for. If you cancel, you retain Premium access until the end of your current billing period. Your statutory cancellation rights and our money-back guarantee are set out in our Refund Policy.

VAT. Prices shown for Premium include any local tax (such as VAT) that applies to your purchase. As the Merchant of Record, Paddle calculates, collects and accounts for the correct tax for your country at checkout. Achieve Academy operates below the UK VAT registration threshold and is not separately registered for VAT; no VAT is charged or shown on our own invoices.

    9. Service Level

The Site and its content are provided on an "as is" basis. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may modify, suspend, or discontinue free features at any time. Changes to paid Premium features are governed by Section 8.

Your statutory rights. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Digital content and services we supply to you must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, as described, and provided with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.

    10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

    • We make no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of our content.
    • We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special damages (including loss of profits, data, or goodwill) arising from your use of the Site.
    • Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Site is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
    • Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, death, or personal injury where the law requires it.
    • We are not responsible for the content or availability of external websites linked from the Site.

    11. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site if you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay for a Premium subscription, or pose a security or fraud risk. You may stop using the Site and delete your account at any time from your account page. If you delete your account while a Premium subscription still has paid time remaining, deletion is scheduled for the end of that paid period by default — your renewal is stopped immediately and you keep access until then; you can also choose immediate deletion, in which case any remaining paid time is forfeited as described in our Refund Policy. Upon termination, your right to use the service ends; your revision progress will be deleted within a reasonable period.

    12. Modifications

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated Terms on this page with a new revision date and, where appropriate, notify registered users by email. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

    13. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to the Site or your use of it are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any such dispute, except that you may bring a claim in the courts of the country in which you live if you are a consumer resident outside the United Kingdom.

Alternative dispute resolution. We are not obliged, and do not currently choose, to participate in a dispute-resolution procedure before an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) entity under the Alternative Dispute Resolution for Consumer Disputes Regulations. Any dispute relating to a payment, refund, chargeback or subscription billing handled by Paddle should be raised with Paddle in the first instance, as Paddle is the Merchant of Record for those transactions. For all other concerns, please contact us using the details below and we will try to resolve the matter directly with you.

    14. Complaints

We take complaints seriously and aim to resolve them quickly. To make a complaint, please email us at info@achieve-academy.co.uk with "Complaint" in the subject line and details of your concern. We will acknowledge your complaint within 3 working days and provide a substantive response within 14 working days. If you are not satisfied with our response and you are a consumer in the UK, you may refer the matter to the Information Commissioner's Office for data-protection complaints, or to your local trading standards or consumer protection body.

    15. Contact
